Weld procedure qualification services are provided to companies to facilitate compliance with national/international standards, project specifications and codes of practice.
Weld procedure qualification requirements can be scoped from the contract/project requirements and the required testing criteria co-ordinated by a Certified European/International Welding Engineer, with or without on-site supervision, from start to finish. Code compliant Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) can then be drafted from these.
Alternatively, the service of a Certified European/International Welding Engineer can be provided to review existing procedure qualifications and WPS’s as required.
Weld procedures can be developed and qualified for a full range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals to a wide range of standards and codes of practice including: EN ISO 15614, BS 4515, EN 1090, ASME IX, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, API 582, API 1104, and asset owner specific codes such as BP GIS’s, Exxon GP’s, and Ineos ICEG specifications.
The co-ordination of weld procedure tests can also include NDT and destructive testing by a UKAS accredited laboratory combined with Notified Body/Third Party Organisation coverage for Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) compliance. All weld procedure tests are monitored with the use of a calibrated portable arc monitoring system (PAMS) which is used to verify accurate test parameters.
